Distinguished Teacher: The White House Commissionon

In 1989 and in recognition of his work Professor Weinberg was invited to the White House to receive a certificate of excellence from President Bush. This was the only such certificate awarded in the field of woodwind.
He has held 5 international professorships:- Indiana University USA: The Guildhall School of Music and Drama London; Founding Professor -'Performance and communication skills' funded by the Gulbenkian and Leverhulme Trusts; Founding Professor in the Government sponsored Nation Youth Orchestra of Spain; Curriculum Advisor Beijing Conservatoire, China.
He has also been a visiting Professor at the Dartington International Summer School and The National Centre for Orchestral Studies New York.
Equally he has written and presented productions for Radio, Television and Theatre in Canada, Europe, USA, The West Indies and the UK.
Professor Weinberg has played with all the major symphony Orchestras in England, as well as participating in recordings with Bernstein, Previn, Stravinsky, Menuhin, Ashkanazy and The Beatles, Tom Jones, Barbra Streisand, Jimi Hendrix and recorded the music for over 50 International Films.
